Why MEG Does Not Require a Cover Letter
Target the offer, show motivation, and connect your background to the role.
At MEG, we have chosen not to make cover letters mandatory in the application process.
Today, many cover letters are copied, poorly personalized, or automatically generated. As a result, they do not always reflect a candidate’s true motivation.
They can also slow down the application process, especially on mobile, and disadvantage capable students who may simply struggle to express themselves in writing or present their strengths effectively.
Instead, MEG focuses on a structured application file that includes the student’s profile, education, skills, CV, verified documents, targeted answers, and performance indicators.
This approach helps highlight the student’s actual work and achievements. It encourages students to improve, develop their skills, strengthen their results, and strive to be their best.
Companies therefore receive applications that are clearer, more consistent, and easier to compare.
MEG is not removing motivation from the application process. The platform simply aims to assess it in a way that is more direct, fairer, and more closely connected to the candidate’s actual performance.
