Terms of use
Published version: 2026-01
Draft to be completed or validated before publication. Entries marked “unavailable” will be replaced once validated.
Purpose and acceptance
MEG, operated by BARTIK (see legal notice), supports students, companies and schools in connecting, applying and managing internships.
Depending on available features, MEG lets you manage a profile, publish or browse offers, apply, exchange messages, have school documents verified and track an internship. OCR, APS score, recommendations and automated checks are explained in a separate notice. Features actually available: unavailable.
Before creating an account, the user may read and keep the Terms, the privacy policy and the cookie policy, then accepts them through an unticked mandatory checkbox at sign-up (email or Google). MEG stores proof in legal_acceptances (versions, timestamp, source) and a mirror on the profile. If published versions change and reacceptance is enabled, the space is blocked until a new checkbox. This acceptance is not blanket consent to optional processing, cookies or marketing.
Access and accounts
The user provides accurate information, keeps their profile up to date and protects their credentials. They promptly report any suspicious use. A company or school representative must be authorised to act for that organisation.
Proposed access rule to be validated: accounts for people aged at least 16; for 16–17 year olds, verified prior consent from a parent or legal guardian for data processing. No accounts for under-16s will be offered without validating the applicable legal regime and any exception. See the minors policy.
Free services, any paid services and access restrictions: unavailable. Any paid service requires prior information on price and specific terms before purchase.
Obligations
Students submit authentic documents and do not impersonate anyone. Companies publish real, lawful and sufficiently detailed offers; they use applications only for stated purposes. Schools verify only information within their remit and authority.
Users must not use fake documents, fraud, unlawful discrimination, harassment, hateful or unlawful sexual content, privacy breaches or copyright infringement, unauthorised data extraction or spam. Bypassing access controls, introducing malware or disrupting systems is prohibited. Security testing requires prior authorisation.
Companies and schools protect received data, limit access and comply with their own information and retention duties.
Applications, verification and internships
An application sends the announced items to the identified recipient before submission. Documents sent, profile access and APS score visibility: unavailable. Withdrawing an application does not automatically delete copies already lawfully received by the recipient.
Verification states the scope and date of the check performed; it does not guarantee all user statements or professional aptitude. An anomaly may be challenged and reviewed by a human.
MEG does not guarantee hiring, admission or an internship. The decision belongs to the relevant organisation. Agreements, educational commitments and internship conditions are between the parties; these Terms do not replace them.
Messaging, content and intellectual property
Messaging is for exchanges related to MEG services. Private content is accessible only to recipients and authorised persons when needed for support, security or legal obligation. Any intervention must be justified and proportionate.
Users retain rights to their content. They grant MEG a non-exclusive licence to store, technically reproduce and display it to chosen recipients solely to provide the service and for the necessary period. This licence does not allow advertising reuse or AI training without a separate legal basis and prior information.
MEG trademarks, text, software and graphics may not be used beyond normal service use without permission or legal exception.
Reporting, moderation and suspension
Abuse may be reported to contact@myedugabon.com or via the contact form (subject “Report”). MEG reviews the facts and may restrict content or suspend an account to protect users, ensure security, enforce the Terms or meet a legal obligation.
Measures must be proportionate. Unless urgent or legally prohibited, the user receives reasons and may submit observations to contact@myedugabon.com. Urgent suspension may precede this information. Review is carried out by an authorised person.
For cyberbullying or harmful content involving a minor: acknowledgement within 24 hours, handling and decision notification within 72 hours, under article 24 of Ordinance n°0011/PR/2026. Effective handling workflow: unavailable.
Closure, availability and liability
The user may request account closure from their personal area (settings) or at contact@myedugabon.com. Closure stops their access; erasure and any mandatory archives follow the privacy policy.
MEG takes measures needed for security and service operation. Maintenance or incidents may interrupt access; information is provided when possible. Users keep copies of important documents.
Each party is liable for damage attributable to it under applicable law. No clause excludes mandatory obligations or MEG’s liability for its own failures. Third-party services remain subject to their own terms without removing MEG’s obligations.
Data, changes and disputes
The five other legal pages are available from the legal notice. Material changes to the Terms are announced before they take effect, except where legally or security required. New acceptance is collected when necessary; changes do not constitute consent to a new purpose.
The Terms are governed by Gabonese law. A complaint may be sent to contact@myedugabon.com. Seeking an amicable solution does not prevent the user from referring to the competent authority or court.
